Ronaldo Cancelo is a Portuguese professional football player who currently plays as a right-back for the Premier League club, Manchester City, and the Portugal national team. He was born on May 27, 1994, in Barreiro, Portugal.
Cancelo started his youth career with Barreirense before moving to Benfica in 2007. He made his professional debut for the Benfica B team in 2012 and later joined Valencia in 2014. Cancelo established himself as a key player for Valencia and was signed by Italian giants, Juventus, in 2018.
After a season with Juventus, Cancelo was signed by Manchester City in 2019 for a reported fee of €65 million. He has since become an important player for City, helping them win the Premier League title in his first season.
On the international front, Cancelo has represented Portugal at various levels, including at the U21 and senior levels. He was part of the Portugal squad that won the UEFA Nations League in 2019.
